Help - I need some help - Do I have a thyroid problem?

I am a 38 year old female and I just received some results for some blood test that I had done and I would like your opinion of the thyroid results.  I have spoken to my PCP many times about my thyroid, but he doesn't seem to think that I need medication.  I have had many of the symptoms of Hypothyroid, but not all of them.  I also have a family history of thyroid problems.  My maternal grandmother, my mother and two of her sisters have all had thyroid problems.  Here are my results.  Could you please give me your opinion?

T3 Uptake:  27% [24 – 39]
Thyroxine (T4):  7.6 ug/dl [4.5 – 12.0]
Free Thyroxine Index:  2.1 [1.2 – 4.9]
TSH:  7.094 uIU/ml [.350 – 5.500]

My Cholesterol is:
Triglycerides:  141 mg/dL [0 – 149]
Cholesterol, Total:  217 mg/dL [100 – 199]
HDL Cholesterol: 40 mg/dL [40 – 59]
T. Chol/HDL Ratio:  5.4 [.0 – 4.4]
LDL Cholesterol Calc: 149 [0 – 99]

I am not on any contraceptives.

Some of my symptoms are:
Fatigue
Depression
Difficulty concentrating, brain fog
Itchy skin
Thinning hair in spots
Fluctuate between very hot & feeling cold, especially in the extremities
Constipation
Difficulty loosing weight
Difficulty swallowing sometimes(feel like something is stuck in my throat)
Nausea
Headaches
Blurry vision that comes and goes

hi i have had a hypothyroid for nearly ten years now. your tsh seems a lil high and i believe you should speak with your doctor about being put on some med. synthroid for example. good luck.

I have an appointment on 6/5 to discuss these latest results.  The last time that I discussed my Thyroid with my PCP he said that my numbers weren't far enough out of range to justify medication.  This time my number has gone up so, hopefully he will decide that something should be done.

Why is your PCP saying it's not thyroid? Your TSH level alone should be telling him/her that you are hypothyroid.
