High blood pressure

Had right thyroid out 2 yrs ago, then left one 2 wks ago. Have had low blood pressure my whole life, around 97/72. Day of surgery thats what it stayed at. 4 hours later when i woke up from surgery to have thyroid out first thing i notice was my blood pressure,148/96. And has stayed around there every since. Plus tingle in both hand and both feet. Surgeon and primary dr have run test, thryroid test was fine, TSH was 0.966,T41.46. They said they have no idea why blood presure went up and stayed up,and why the tingle. I try to do more stuff around here and it goes higher,i get to excited it goes higher. Have had other surgeries not to mention other thyroid out and it never went up past my norm, been low all my life, then in 4 hours i feel like my whole life has changed. What would change your blood pressure and cause tingle in Hands and feet after thyroid surgery. Yes my calcium levels have been tested twice and they are fine. Please help, kind of scared here since this is something im not used to dealing with.

Tully you said you take meds,is this for the high blood pressure? They have gave me no meds for mine im just on the synthroid for thyroid. So now I'm wondering if i should be on something for it. Or does it need to be higher before they feel you need meds? Mine was 149/98 yesterday.

Had my calcium levels and T4 all done, got test today, they said those are just fine. They also did a test on my parathyroid to see if it was working ok and test showed yes. 2wks tomorrow since surgery and still have tingle in feet and hands, and blood pressure still not going down, was 146/97 today. I just dont understand to be like 97/72 up till i fall asleep for surgery and to wake up this high, and stay that way. Dr says he dont know what to do next, what it could be. I know this cant be good to go on now with this high of blood pressure and nothing done about it. I dont know where to turn to next. Just seems like something was done during my surgery and the dr doesnt want to give me a answer. Im so frustrated.
