Yes, if Free T3 and Free T4 are too low, you are hypothyroid.
Why do you say you don't have Hashimoto's? TPOab that's elevated as much as your is warrants a diagnosis of Hashimoto's...
Hi Barb,
I don't have Hashimotos. I have hypothyroidism and usually take 50mg of Eutirox. I stopped taking Eutorox 3 weeks prior to this test. To see if I had either hyper or hypo. If they are low, it means I have hypo, then?
Both your Free T3 and Free T4 are too low, indicating that you have hypothyroidism. Your TSH is also lower than the reference range, which is odd when FT3 and FT4 are as low as yours... Typically, we'd think this would be Central Hypothyroidism, which means your thyroid is working fine, but there's a problem with either your pituitary or hypothalamus gland.
Your TPOab is elevated, which indicates that you have Hashimoto's which is an auto-immune thyroid disease... Hashimoto's eventually destroys the thyroid so it can't produce adequate thyroid hormones.
Hypothyroidism caused by, either, Central Hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's is treated with replacement thyroid hormone medication.
Are you currently taking a thyroid hormone medication? If so, which medication, what dosage are you on and how long have you been on it.
