Hot flashes with lower dosage

For a week and a half I seemed to be on a roller coaster.

I was find until the Doc started messing with my armour. He said I was taking too much.

Changed me to levothroid and had problems for two days, than change me back to armour but at a lower dosage. Was taking 150 now 120. Since than I did have some problems, but all are gone, but one. I have been having alot and I mean alot of hot flashes. I am in perimenopause, but I have not had them this bad and as often.

Could it be the reduce armour that is causing it and what does that mean?

my doc said to me this

When the thyroid is overactive (hyper) it makes your metabolism work fast.
Usually when you get warm your body as like a switch that stops you overheating...But when thyroid is hyper and you  get warmer..due to room temp going up/going in sun/exerting yourself etc ..think of it as the switch not working...so you just get hotter & hotter.

I believe Hot flushes (as we say in UK) are due to dosage change.
Each time my thyroid goes over or under I get them.
Sometimes I get them what seems like every half hour, they do settle again in time,
but they are always a sign to me that the thyroid is changing again!
