I'm exactly the same way. I never had thyroid problems before the papillary carcinoma and I feel so much better on Synthroid than I ever did with my natural (evil) thyroid.

Hi Cheryl
Being in Australia, I'm not too familiar with the different brands of antibiotics available in the US> but I did check the prescribing information for you; you can find it in full @
http://www.levaquin.com/other/full.pdf#zoom=100
Levofloxacin is the drug name for Levaquin (Brand name)
Quote - Under 'Precautions' sub heading 'Information for Patients';
"peripheral neuropathies have been associated with levofloxacin
use. If symptoms of peripheral neuropathy including pain, burning,
tingling, numbness, and/or weakness develop, they should discontinue
treatment and contact their physicians"
On the list on page 9 you will also find - leg pain and tendonitis listed as adverse reactions.
Looks like you hit the jackpot - Lucky you (NOT)!!! Might be worth a call to your doctor's and discuss this reaction with them - it could be unrelated but better to be safe than sorry.
Did you see my last post about you taking calcium in a multi when you have had calcium oxolate kidney stones? If I were you I wouldn't go there, but the choice is always yours. It would be a good idea to run that one past your doctor too if you are going to phone them.
My day today has just started - slept in till 8am (after I took my meds at 7 and went back to sleep), its Sunday in the land downunder. Cooler Autumn weather is just lovely and the leaves are just beginning to change colour. I went for a 11.5km (7 miles) bike ride yesterday evening and just loved it! Will go again this arvo if I get my assignment finished that is due today. I'm trying to convince my body it loves exercise and so far it's working as I've lost 2kg (4.4 pounds) in 2 weeks. Not much but it's a start. So my day so far must be at least an 8 or even a 9 /10 - maybe even better than I felt before my TT!!! I hope in sharing some of my positive days that others can be encouraged that given time and patience things will look up - I am 17 weeks post TT now! Wow how time flys!
Hugs to those who are not having a good day!

Hi, I feel about an 8 today. I am so so happy to finally see the greenery returning instead of a bunch of trees full of empty branches and nice to see flowers full of color for a change. I get so depressed in the winter because everything seems so gloomy. All in all I feel pretty good today.
I am probably a 3 if that is the low end. I am very very tired, stomach ache, heartburn, bloated but finally went to the bathroom this morning after 4 days, and just feel out of sorts. Blood test on Monday so hopefully that will tell where I am at.
guess I am about a 7...not too bad today...tired....a bit achy...but not too bad...sun is shining...makes me feel better...dogwoods in bloom...my forsythias are blooming, too :)...nice....went shopping with my daughter...tired, but that was fun...bought some fun necklaces for cover up hehe
I am feeling a bit jittery today, don't know if it's the thyroid or the damn Xanax! I would have to say I feel about a 5.
I am noticing I can't sleep straight throughout the night,I don't know if it's the meds I am on or what but I can fall asleep at 10 at night, wake up at 12, 2, 4, 7 and then finally I get up at like 9 or 10, it's crazy! What can it be?
I am on Zoloft 100 mg which is making me really, really tired, I remember when I was on it years ago it took a few weeks to get adjusted, I am on Xanax either 2 or 3 times a day, 0.25 mg and Methimazole 10 mg. once a day. Can it be any of these meds? I think it's the damn Xanax because I notice if I dont take it for like 12 hours, it will actually wake me up jittery!
Started out as a 7-8...went to gym... But know feel acky stiff and incsion spot if pinching and achy!!! so end the day on a 5 not bad for 5 day out of the hospital.
I did the indoor pool too soon ..........for me it was a biggie exposing my scar to the world, but whew, was very sore in the water in neck dept and had to get out after 15mins of just lounging around with the kids on a kickboard or noodle .. used wayyyy too many muscles and hurt for 2 days and incision stung from the cholrine.
Boo Hoo you had rough time at gym is the point,

Being constipated can make you physically ill .. esp. the heartburn ... it pushes up on the stomach, etc. I bet your TSH is not where it needs to be yet ... let us know ...
U R on 125? I'm catching up .. I'm on 75 ... ::: wink wink wink::::
