Since 50 much of T4 is giving current result I would ask for the 25 mcg increase, and 5 mcg of T3.
Actually I am on .05 mg of synthroid not .88mg what would you suggest it be increased too
Both your Free T4 and Free T3 are too low. If it were me I would ask the doctor for an increase of about 25 mcg of T4 and 5 mcg of T3 and see how that affects your symptoms and also get followup testing done about 6 weeks after the increase.
Also be aware that an increase is most likely to suppress your TSH below range. That will not mean you are hyper, unless you have hyper symptoms due to excessive levels of Free T4 and Free T3 which is not going to occur with those increases.
A good thyroid doctor will treat a hypo patient clinically by testing and adjusting Free T4 and Free T3 as needed to relieve symptoms, without being constrained by resultant TSH levels. Symptom relief should be all important, not just test results. Unfortunately many doctors don't understand that TSH is basically a useless test when taking thyroid meds and will interpret a suppressed TSH as meaning you are hyper and then want to decrease your meds. You will have to guard against this. If needed, I can provide links to scientific studies that show TSH is frequently suppressed when taking doses of thyroid med adequate to relieve symptoms.
Also, hypo patients are frequently too low in the ranges for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin. D should be about 55, B12 in the upper end of its range and ferritin should be about 70. If not tested for those I recommend doing so and then supplementing as needed to optimize.
