Hypothyroid and Weight loss?

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditits in February.  My TSH was 369.  I started on 100mcg of Levothyroxine and 25mcg of Cytomel (they Cytomel was only for 2 weeks).  After 5 weeks by TSH was down to 14.95, so the doctor increased my dose to 125mcg Levothyroxine.  When I was first diagnosed, I had been putting on weight and was up to 158 lbs.  After the first month of treatment, I dropped to 147, and now am at 142.  Not that I am complaining about my weight, but I am not trying to loose weight, I am not dieting or exercising a lot.  My question is, Is it normal to loose weight at first or is this something I should worry about?  Thank you for your response.

I felt like the living dead.  I just thought it was because I was chasing after a toddler all day and not sleeping well (also due to the toddler).  I did lose a lot of hair, but I have a lot to begin with so the only person who noticed it was me when it came out in the shower.  All I know is, I don't think I will EVER forget to take my medicine because I NEVER want to feel that bad again.  I don't know about you but the most frustrating thing is feeling like you can't keep up with daily activities.  I have to keep reminding myself it will take a while to feel better.  Anyway, thanks for the question.

How did you feel at TSH of 369?  My highest was 16 and I felt lightheaded, swollen, hair breakage & "mushy" feeling (hair). Do you still have a head of hair?

With a TSh of 369 you basically had no metabolism. Now with your body's needs being met your metabolism is running full steam ahead. I would be more concerned with your symtpoms and how you are feeling. If you notice a change in your symptoms don't hesitate to let your dr. know.
   Best wishes-
