I don't understand my test results given my circumstances.

"I had my thyroid removed in the 70s, first some nodules then two years later the whole thing as the nodules had grown back and taking thyroid had not helped. I did not have the typical symptoms of thyroid disease. Sometime in the eighties I quit taking thyroid due to financial difficulties and the unwillingness of the doc to refill without a test. I later started taking thyroid glandular purchased from a health food store. I felt like it gave me a little added energy. When finances were better I started taking thyroid again but by this time the world had switched to synthetics and the health food store variety had seemed to work better. At some point I requested a change to Armour Thyroid which was accomplished and I felt better. I picked up my new prescription yesterday and it was not Armour Thyroid it was something called NP Thyroid. I hate that changes are made without even talking to me about it. I don't know whether to object or try it. I do have a tiny bit of thyroid that has grown back. Because my doctor would not renew my meds until I came back in for tests, I went a month without my Armour Thyroid before the last tests, taking health food store thyroid glandular during that time. My doctor said my tests were off but they look pretty good to me. The T3 and T4 are within Range. The THS is way high. Is that a real factor when the T4 and T3 are good? Free T4(.80-1.80) . recent .88 last year .78 Free T3 ( 2.0-4.4) recent- 2.6 last year 2.4 TSH (.40-4.5) recent -12.73 last year 4.62"

Symptoms are even more important than test results.  So before discussion of your test results, please tell us about any symptoms you have.
