We too had flouride added to the water in the States for the same reason. I'm gonna see if I can find any articles on the web that talks about it being bad. Flouride linked to thyroid problems? Hmmm... That will be interesting to find out. If you happen to find any info on it, pass it along.
I will check around the web to see if I find any solid articles on it. I have non-flouride toothpaste before. The brand is called TOM'S. I am not plugging this brand here. Just happened to find it in the "healthy" isle at the grocery store one day. It's all natural. See if you can find it. I do try to drink lots of water. I will also check on web to see if there are any particular brand names of bottled water that don't contain flouride. Oh yeah, I just read your comment about that. I'll also check to see which companies use "good" plastic. If that even exists. Have a great day, keep in touch.
Bit hard for us in Australia, our drinking water was flouridated back in the late 70's and they have no intention of stopping it. It was meant to help prevent cavities in teeth. I also read that the incidence of thyroid problems has grown in the past 30 years and they believe flouride is the cause!
Yes, I read that. I don't know how significant it is.
I'm still using flouride toothpaste, because I want to keep my teeth.
I started drinking bottled water, and now it turns out the bottled water has chemicals leaching out of the plastic, so what's a guy to do?
The food we eat has no nutrients. Vitamins and supplements are not processed by our bodies the same as organic nutrients. On and on and on. I'll take my chances with the flouride.
But I'll admit I have read very little about it and may be trivializing it more than I ought to.
Google thyroid flouride and see what info you find.
