3rd Thyroid biopsy non diagnostic

I just got the results for my 3rd biopsy in a thyroid nodule.  I am wondering if anyone else has had 3 biopsies with no results. My radiologist is excellent and head of radiology at a prestigious Boston hospital.  There just seems to be not enough cells. I am sure my endo will want it removed at this point.  I am wondering if anyone has had 3 failed biopsies or more and has decided not to have surgery.  The nodule is 1.6 cm contains rare follicular cells....
Any help much appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestion.  I will google this to see what it is and then speak to my endo about it next week.

Yes - It's very frustrating!  I don't want to have an unnecessary surgery - but I don't want to keep doing this every 6 months either!
