Oh yeah! I've had joint pains before diagnosed, and now after my TT I feel like I have the flu..without having the flu. I had severe hip pain (lower back, to hip sockets, to knees, to ankles), especially during TOM...think labor pains. I found out that my vitamin D was extremely low, and take 100,000 units once a week now..with a daily 2400 calcium/vitamin D. It is a bit better, but I'm thinking it is/can be a combination of vitamin D and hypo..or either or. Dontcha just ~love~ this race?!?! *sigh*
I hope you feel better.
For my thyroid results they were (the ranges are what the lab uses, and were on my result letter I got in the mail):
T4, Free: 1.3 (0.7-1.8 ng/dL)
TSH: 4.89 (0.34-2.50 UIU/mL)
So the T4 is well within the normal range...but that was all the further testing on thyroid she did. However I have other lab results from the other stuff she did that make me go, "mmm." I don't know if the levels are thrown off b/c my thyroid is struggling or what?
She did do a B12 which was 684 (200-1000 pg/mL) and VitD which was 33.5 (30.0-80.0 ng/mL) so I don't know...the B12 seems alright. The VitD is just above the lowest level, so maybe it wouldn't hurt to take some?
Also, Vitamin D deficiency can cause similar as well as an infection. But sounds like you are on track and bet you are hypo. How hypo are your labs?
WELCOME!!
C~
Yes, I always get a pain in the leg leg starting at the hip joint going down to the knee when my TSH is a tad too high.
Thats the first indication to me to get my levels checked.
And 100% of the time, my prediction is right....I am TSH Hypo.
Hope that helps.
Yes, I have the same problems in my joints. Mostly elbow and wrist, sometimes
knees. But, yep, I'm sure there are many more on this forum who will be able
to relate. Bummer, I know.
