Just got ultrasound results. What does this mean?

Just picked up my thyroid results to look at before I see my doctor in a week because I don't like or trust him. We are military and only allowed to see certain specialists and he is the only one locally.

Ultrasound revealed right love at 1.2x3.2x1.2. A ovoid-shaped 8x5x8mm hypoechoic nodule. Left lobe at 1.1x3.6x1.1cm. Anterior pole of left thyroid gland a 1.1x.4x.6cm nodule. In posterior midpole a 6x4x5mm nodule.

Should I be concerned on their sizes of the nodules? It's hard to swallow and breath when I lay down.

A hypoechoic nodule with difficulty swallowing are noted risk factors for thyroid cancer.  And almost everyone with a thyroid nodule larger than 1 to 1.5 cm in diameter must be investigated for the possibility of thyroid cancer.  A fine needle aspiration FNA( biopsy) is the most accurate test for determining malignancy although there is a small percentage, usually less than 4%, that show a false positive.
