LIGHTHEADEDNESS

Hi,

I have been on Armoud thyroid for many years and over the last year taking a 120 tab and a 15 tab per day.  About 6 weeks ago I started having heart palpitations and the doctor cut the 15 tab.  I was ok for a while and then the heart palpitations started up again and one week ago he cut me to 90 mg a day.  The heart palpitations stopped pretty quickly and right after that I developed a feeling of being lightheaded and really tired and have done little but lie around.  I have cancelled most social engagements because I just don't feel good.  The doctor says 4-6 weeks before more blood work can be done.  The doctor also said that she expected I would feel tired and "different".  This is not just "different", it is hard to live with.

I think now I might not be getting enough thyroid - don't know.  Anyone have any insight on this or had this problem when meds were dropped?

Thanks,
Liz

Get levels checked again--and also have yourself checked for anemia.  I had a heme of 6 and small red blood cells--I felt EXHAUSTED on top of my hypo.

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I would say that you need to have your levels checked now not in 4-6 weeks. You sound like your possibly hypothyroid. I would insist on getting your levels checked.
