Lab Results- Doctor STILL hasn't called

So I've been feeling way out of sorts recently and went to get bloodwork from two different doctors.  The first results came back as T4 direct 2.73 (range .82-1.77), T3 238 (Range 71-180), TSH .007 (.45-4.5).   The second results came back basically the same but with a slighty higher TSH (.018).  I'm also positive/high for Antithyroglobulin Ab and
Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Ab.

What does this mean??? I'm having a hard time getting anything concrete from my doctor and the soonest endocrinologist appointment I can get is in November.  GRRR.

Becareful with "thyroid storms".  Please make an appt. with your doctor about the heart rate, insomnia, weight loss.

When I had those symptoms I was like you (down to 88 lbs), HR @ 140, insomnia. I also had a long wait for the Endo, but I called my PCP back & told him I can't handle these symptoms for that long. He got me on beta blockers & made a call to the Endo & got me in early. I was in a full blown thyroid storm & admitted immediately.

I have mostly hyper symptoms- fast heart rate, insomnia, weight loss, shakiness etc, etc, etc.   I thought that it was probable I had something like Graves because my great grandmother had Graves but it turns out a few people in my family also had Hasimotos.  Does that seem possible with those results?

Overall I'm tired of feeling so bad and want to feel better!

Looks like you are hyper. What are your symptoms? The most important symptom I would recommend you keep a eye on is the heart rate..

Well...for one thing you have hastimoto thyroid.

You may want to do some on- line research to read about it.

Make sure you ask for Free T3 and Free T4 testing to see how to help with doses on your thyroid medication.

Learn how to read your test results and ALWAYS get a copy from the doctors you see. This forum is great and there are some awesome folks on here that will help  with more info

Good luck...it is an interesting journey
