"MY SHORTCUTS" udate ...from prior post .. I have found if you post on a community it goes to the "my shortcuts" .. do not have to necessarily join the community as

we thought in the prior posting .. What have you all found .. this holds true?  If not, I can find out for sure from MedHelp directly to clear up this ?

I will find out an "official" answer and let you know.  Now I'm wondering, too as I LOVE the Shortcuts too!

Ditto for me - I also posted in another forum but didn't join and that community didn't show up on my shortcuts.

I also like My Shortcuts - tired of going ring-around-the-rosy everytime I wanted to get back in.

I posted a topic in another forum. The Caregiver's Forum, actually.

I didn't join that forum, and it does not show up on "my shortcuts". It doesn't show up in the communities section on my bio page, either. Not that I mind.

My Shortcuts, by the way, is a feature I love. Makes it faster to get back here from "My Medhelp", or other areas of the site.

Just my experience.

I am working on an exact answer  --  this is what I think I've figured out on the ?

I saw a checkoff box on one of my posts in a different community than this one (I belong to this one already so the box is not there I think)  -- When I posted, I automatically "joined this community" ... so I think as long as you join the community (either manually or automatically by keeping the box checked)  you will "join" the community & get a Shortcut.

This is what happened to me - having a login and password and posting on a community did not add that community to my shortcuts. It was added after I hit the Join button....
