More meds?

Currently taking 60mg of Armour Thyroid.  At approx. 4 pm my body starts feeling weird.  Buzzing feeling and aching in joints and muscles, especially in legs.  I go to bed, and at 4 am (every morning) wake up with severe muscle cramping.  I take my Armour and within an hour, feel better.  Would another smaller dose of Armour help at dinner time or early evening to avoid the nightly wakeups?

This discussion is related to pain when taking med for hypothyroidism.

My doctor has me taking Westhroid, which is similar to Armour. (A natural thyroid product).  He has me taking it twice a day.  I only take 1/2 tablet in the morning and the other half late afternoon. My doctor wanted me to take it later in the evening, but I found I had too much in my system in the early morning (heart racing) and it started affecting my sleep.  I would try it once and see how your body reacts.  Everyone is different.
P.S.  I use a pill splitter to make sure the doses are even.

I've heard of people splitting their dose. Maybe you could try that!
