Neck pain and thyroid connection??

In the last four months (maybe more) I have had back and neck pain. This is common for me, but usually ice and chiropractic appointments soothe it. My neck pain has turned into a soreness and stiffness. I can't bend my neck down very far and I have to try harder to keep my head up. Today, early in the morning. I woke up and suddenly cracked my neck, the pain eventually subsided. Later in the day, Pain appeared in the right side of the neck around my thyroid, with shooting pain down to my clavicle. All of these places hurt greatly when pressed. Lastly, I have mild hypothroidism. Could this pain and stiffness be related to a swollen thyroid?? Or have any connection to my thyroid??

Pain and stiffness  related to a swollen thyroid ? - many hear would like to think so. Any body part that is inflamed can spread the inflammation. The medical community (doctors) will probably say thay dont know, since I doubt any study has been done on this specifically.

On the other hand general muscle pain is also a hypothyroid symptom, especially if you thyroid hormone levels are low, free T3 levels are related to muscle pain.
