Need Advice Again

Hi All!
I am still on this darn roller coaster and it just keeps getting worst.

My Paratoid glands on the side of my face and my face in general are swollen. Then driving home Tuesday night my vision went blurry and doubled at far away objects.

I went to three dif. doctors and was dx with Classic Migraine.... glands are supposively swollen b/c I am sick.
Three days later I still can't see right or drive and now I am going to a Neuro tomorrow.

I have what I was told was an Hurthle cell nodule, now there is a 2nd biopsy next month b/c Yale did not interpret results the same and then tentative completion surgery in January (my second thyroid surgery).

I did stop taking my Synthroid for a week... stupid, I know... I just can't help but wonder if this vision thing has to do with my thyroid!

I am a wreck!

Any advice would be much, much appreciated.

Thank you

About the only discussion I have seen on this board regarding the parotids is how saliva ducts can close up or become inflamed after heavy doses of RAI. Radioactive Iodine to treat thyroid cancer.

I hope you figure it out.
Sorry it is causing you pain and grief.

If you had Shingles, I think you would know about it long before it cleared up. Was the guy being serious, or just making a comparison?

The ER physcian said that I looked like I had Shingles that went away.

I was worried something about the thyroid was irritating the Parotid glands... Neuro said "Migraine Phenomona" but I am not buying that after 5 days.

I thought some of you experienced thyroid member would see a correlation. I guess it could just be something else completely.... I feel sad and hopeless.

I just read it, but I don't know what to tell you.
What did the neurologist say?

What is the illness that is agravating your parotid glands?
Just "some unknown infection"?
