New Doc - Need Suggestions!

Hi All!  I'm seeing a new endocrinologist in May and need suggestions of questions I should ask, etc.  From what I've been reading, FT3 and FT4 should be ordered (my docs in the past never ordered).  Currently, I have several solid nodules that need a 2nd biopsy.

Suggestions and help would be appreciated!

I wouldn't even wait until May to ask the questions that are key as to whether the Endo will be the type you need.  I have had success with calling the doctor's office and saying that I was looking for a good thyroid doctor, but before making an appointment I would like to ask one of the nurses three questions.  First, what tests does the doctor normally run in diagnosing a thyroid patient.  Any answer that does not include Free T3 and Free T4 makes me suspicious.  Second, is the doctor willing to treat a patient clinically by testing and adjusting Free T3 and Free T4, as necessary to relieve symptoms, without being constrained by resultant TSH levels?  Third, is the doctor willing to prescribe meds other than just T4 types?  If the answer to either of these last two questions is no, then just keep on looking for a good thyroid doctor.
