New Doc + New Problem

Hi All,
I have Hashimoto's. I have gone from Dr. to Dr. in hopes of finding one that can help. So far, not much luck. I have yet to see anyone that will rely on my free levels of T4 and T3.
I saw a new Endo in August, and it was awful!! So again, I started looking for yet another Dr.
My husband works with a woman that see's an Endo ( she has no thyroid )...she told my husband she liked this DR.
So I went to see her last week. She is my 4th Endo. Not any different from the others as far as being one that believes in the TSH is the most important thing!!
I wasn't happy when I realised this. But as the exam continued she told me my thyroid is enlarged. The Endo I saw 5 months ago did not feel any enlargement.
My problem now is that I'm having an Ultra sound done this Friday. If there is something to be concerned about, I don't want this Dr. to manage it for me..I'm really stuck now!!
I know many of you have been through experiences with not so good docs, and just wondering what you would do in my situation?? Feeling more lost than ever right now.

Thanks,
I do ask when making an appnt. with new dr.'s if they prescribe desiccated. I have been told yes the last 3 times I went to new docs. They all test Free's, but none have given those labs any attention.
So the problem for me now is, if there's something wrong I have nowhere to move on..

Enlargement (goiter) is very common with Hashi's.

You could go for the U/S.  If there's nothing to be concerned about, you can cut your ties with this doctor after she gives you the results.  If there is anything to be concerned about, you can take your results and move on.

Have you tried pre-interviewing these doctors over the phone (probably through a nurse) before making an appointment?  A few simple questions will weed out the worst of the worst.  Which tests do they regularly order for their hypo patients?  Which meds are they open to using?  Is the doctor willing to treat symptoms and not just numbers?
