No Fiber

This is a medication question.  My routine now is Blood Pressure and Synthroid meds approx. 6 AM.  Hold off on eating any fiber and taking Prevacid for GERD until 4 hrs. later.

I do allow myself non fiber eggs during that interval but my heartburn and empty stomach are uncomfortable during that time.   I wonder if taking Prevacid 4 hrs. prior to Synthroid (middle of the night) would work.  Any suggestions?

For heartburns you can try and that baking soda with water, or you can add some apple cider vinegar to the water. Try it, especially the baking soda, it’s working.
I used to have the heartburns shortly after I start taking Levothyroxine. Now I take Synthroid and Armour and no more of these problems

I take levothyroxine and cytomel when I get up at 3:30 am.  Then nothing to eat or drink for at least 30 min - 1 hour.  Then breakfast (both protein and fiber), go to work, etc.  About 9:30 am, I take my 2nd dose of cytomel and BP med.

I used to take Aciphex for GERD but have quit taking that due to cost (insurance won't cover).  I found that I have bile reflux rather than acid and if I just lay off the coffee, and eat at regular intervals the reflux is much better.

I used to take the BP and Synthroid meds together, in the morning. Now I take the BP medication at night.

I take Prilosec for severe GERD and my doctor has told me to take it around 4pm or sometime at least an hour before eating dinner.  I take my synthroid when I get up and usually have a high fiber breakfast one hour later. So far my labs are all stable.  Not sure about the BP meds though as I don't take those. YET!  I'm sure one more pill is just around the corner.....

Dont take BP meds at the same time as Synthroid.
I found that even taking paracetomol can upset the thyroxin balance and not absorb properly.
Hope that helps.
