No replacement hormone after TT? How long til crash?

Hi all. I had a TT on Feb 10th and just yesterday realized I was not given any hormone replacement to take. I am taking pain meds as needed and calcium supplements every 6 hours. I feel okay aside from the obvious throat issues. How long can I go without replacement hormone before I start to crash, get weak, tired, fog brained etc?
My path isn't back yet, I have a follow up with the surgeon on the 17th.

I had a multinodular goiter with normal thyroid function. Surgeon said it had extended into my chest cavity and was sticky to everything as well as being hard like a rubber ball so the surgery took a few hours longer than expected. He said the left side was completely involved with nodules and the right had quite a few. They sent one down for a frozen section during surgery which came back normal follicular cells so they are hopeful the rest will be benign.

Thanks all. I never had any symptoms. Felt pretty good because it was a relief of symptoms when I had the thyroid removed. I started Synthroid today so we will see how things go.

I had a TT on 12-17-09 and i was nervous as well about not starting med's right away. Before surgery, my doc informed me that i wouldn't have any "hypo" symptoms until 30 days post....My surgeon was excellent and everything he said stood true.  He does not give his patients med's until the pathology report comes back and  the first labs as well. I felt fine for four weeks and was not until i started the meds (one month post) that i noticed a few symptoms....especially feeling exhausted. Each person is different and i'm sure that you will be started on med's before you have any major symptoms.

I was given levo in the hospital, as soon as my pathology report came back negative for cancer.  My Doc wanted me started on the levo as soon as possible.  I suspect after all your labs are back and if they are found negative, you will be on levo promptly.

Oh, you have about 3 weeks I would say, give or take.  During week three I started to feel achiness and weak. During week 4 the brain fog started creeping in. I never did get tired though. And I was off meds for 6 weeks.  Week 6 was fun.....couldn't focus my eyes well, couldn't think rational thoughts, my bones hurt, my chest hurt, my bowels no longer moved, it's like my body went into slow motion. Not interested in going down that road ever again!
