OT: New bsktball sneakers are like butter .. WHOA ...

I hope it lasts .. I do not EVEN FEEL the orthotics in them .. must have been ill-fitted in my old sneakers and pushing up all over the place to cause all the pain I was having from them .. they should feel "good" and "supportive" and eventually my foot will WANT THEM all the time and today feel GLORIOUS as if my feet aren't fighting the shoe or orthotics .. Oh I really *hope* things settle down and this was the setback .. one device fighting the other (shoe vs. orthotic vs. tendonitis vs. arthritis).

All is GREAT in thryoid dept on the Synthroid 100mcgs.

I have 2 blue, one for "good" and one for working outside, pink, white, and a pair of black and grey flip flops.  The flip flops are the best looking pair.  Crocs are sooooo ugly.  My mom gives me fits about wearing them, but they work.  By the time I was about 25 and had only had jobs where I was on my feet all day, I decided the purpose of life is the pursuit of comfortable shoes!  Am understanding this more and more as arthritis and years progress on me.  When crocs first came out I said they were so ugly I'd never wear a pair of them!  You know what they about that word 'never"!  Now I live in the things.

Think your sneakers are a lot better looking than my crocs!  And look, if you got a pair of flare legged, or whatever they call those pants in black you could dress up and no one would even be the wiser.  Hard to hide these crocs, they are proportioned so big you can't miss 'em.

Am really happy for you that you found something that works.

Ya know I was thining that if I wear these sneaks for a few months *maybe* I can get a leather lace up dressier style boot of some sort for the Fall and Winter ? and that would even be more stylish than wearing sneakers 12 mos a year bcz of comfort/so called support factor?  That is my goal. Wear these clunkers religiously 24/7, get the tendon stronger thru phys therapy and then be able to be a wee bit more liberal but have found that the orthotics open the door for more shoes to wear and not being locked into one style only bcz that style gave the support and not the orthotics.
