WOW MK
I finally broke down and turned the air on last night and I feel a bit better.
The dryer the air - the better.
Now to work today in non air condition all day.
I really think the damp air regardless humid or cold gives us that achey feeling.
I definitely feel worse when its raining and cold and damp! Not sure about the humidity! I live in Chicago and its rainy and humid... I have the air on and I HATE IT! Makes me feel more foggy, stuffy and I tend to get the headaches with the air on and a nagging cough!!!
I tend to do better when its dry outside... and the sunshine!! I NEED IT! When its gloomy,so am I!!!!
Vent on my sister, thats why we are here
Oh and on the non-thyroid side of things. My ankle arthritis is awful in the winter and bad on the humid, icky, overcast days. I know, TMI for this ? but had to [ vent ]
Hi Stella,
Do you feel more achey in humid weather? YES, Moody AND Crappy
What type of weather do you feel best in and does your area provide that for you?
NOT SURE YET, BUT SO FAR THE HEAT IS NOT GOOD FOR ME.
Humid in the midwest today and I feel .......... well NOT 80 ---- but close to 75!! For me - the more humid the morre lazy and achey I feel.
DOWN HERE IN SOUTH FLORIDA, RIGHT NOW WE ARE IN HURRICANE SEASON. EVERYDAY IT RAINS WITH THUNDER AND LIGHTNING. THAT TEARS ME UP WHEN I GET DAMP. I START TO ACHE ALL OVER.
My allergies/drip and act up.. I just got over a bad case of bronchitis and boy did it tear me up. My throat felt like razor blads every time i coughed. One week later and my throat is still dry and my food feels like its getting stuck again.
SO YES, TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, I THINK WEATHER AFFECTS US ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.
TAKE CARE
TERRI
I'm not sure whether the weather actually affects my thyroid in particular because I've not had the problem long enough to know that yet. But I do know it affects me full stop! I love the sun. The hotter the better! But in the UK our weather is appalling. It's even worse this summer (a summer which we haven't yet had!). We've only had 3 hot days since April and now. I kid you not. 3 miserable days! And in between it's not that it's just not sunny but at least it's still warm. Oh no! It's like autumn or "fall" as you call it! Our dream is to emigrate before we are told old to enjoy it. We're just waiting for our little girl to finish her schooling first.

ME TOO CANNOT RID THE DAMP CHILL .. HATE IT
I feel more fatter too!! (Is that a real sentence?) LOL
THAT IS A REAL SENTENCE WITH REAL WORDS BASED ON REAL ISSUES ...
My lymph node tends to swell when fight allergies/drip .. only the right side which is the side I had my partial thyroidectomy on .. so when it inflames, it presses on scar tissue and the side of the neck pulls and tugs and annoys me .. but such is life .. the WONDERS of scar tissue after surgery cannot be avoided .. so I live with it and just hang tight for non allergic day with nice dry, warm weather.
