Yes, I do feel "drunk" sometimes after I eat. But it doesn't always happen after I eat something sweet. It could be after I eat a normal mean, with low starch/carbs/sugar. Then sometimes when I eat something really sweet, I am fine...actually feel better. What could be going on? I do feel the need to go to the bathroom a lot as well.
I am really beginning to hate this stupid thyroid. My whole life has been turned upside down. Now, I know you have been through much more than I have and that you are a survivor! Hats off to you...you are a strong woman indeed!
Thank you!
I have the same the same diagnosis as you and I have been on synthroid about 7 months too. I am on 125; I see an endo on Tues. you will have to let me know what your endo says. I actually feel I am not getting enough though, tired by noon. I don't work, thanks to my wonderful husband, but work out for 3-4 hours in the a.m. I don't eat breakfast til I come home. My problem is I feel full all the time and have to force myself to eat. Good luck to you. G
I have exactly the same symptoms. I have breakfast every morning and I do not have any problems but after lunch, I get tired and I hardly can keep my eyes open.
I used to have these symptoms before, when I was taking 75 mcg of Levothyroxine then I switched to 75 mcg of Synthroid plus 60 mg of Armour. The after lunch tiredness disappeared for a while and now is back. I do not believe is related to glucose, but it could be.
Please let me know if you find anything from your doctor related to this as my next approximant will be November 24th.
Sounds like how I feel when I'm having uncontrollable sugar problems. Do you ever feel "drunk" after eating something really sweet? Do you have to urinate a lot?
Ask your endo for an A1C test and a blood glucose test (they will have to schedule it because it takes a few hours and you have to be fasting). Many of us with thyroid problems also have glucose problems. :-(
That could be it but...my dosage now is 125 mcg Synthroid a day. I can not take that dose. Can't. By the second or third day of that full dose, I feel terrible...heart palps, tremor in my hands, chest pain...not good. Right now, I cut my 125s in 1/2 and take 1/2 a day.
Could it be that I am sensitive to the med/T4? I don't know a whole lot about the new endo to know if she would consider trying a T3/T4 combo or non-sythetic med.
Thanks for your reply!
Could be time for an increase. I guess youll have your answer tomorrow.
