is pregnancy impossible?

hi,
i am a 28 yr old female ,  i started off as hypo in 2003 i then had my son in 2004 when i was slightly underactive then by 2006 i became overactive and was then diagnosed with graves in march 2007 i have been on both thyroxine and anti thyroid during these times and my levels were stabalised from september 2007 till march 2008 i have however been trying to conceive for 1 yr now with no luck i have become underactive again and my endocrinologist said to postpone pregnancy till my levels were between 1-2 ( currenlty around 6) she didnt give me much hope about conceiving only said lets just wait and see i know thyroid makes it difficult to conceive but is it impossible to fall pregnant with this condition all feedback greatly appreciated

Oh you will be able to conceive again. You just have to wait until your TSH stabalizes.
Before I became pregnant with my son my thyroid  went underactive to and my doc told me that the chances of getting pregnant would be slim almost next to none but finally when my levels came down I did get pregnant. My son is 5 now.

take care and best wishes!!

Laurie

Many good wishes are being sent your way.  Have you seen a Reproductive Endocrinologist?  They might have more experience with thyroid/TTc.
