I recently started taking Armour (32.5mg).  My test results were
TSH 1.67
Free T3 2.07
Free T4  .78
I was told by the doc that my T4 and T3 were low.  After taking the armour for a week I was hit with the worst fatigue I ever had.  Could focus on anything but wanting to sleep.  Symptoms of hypo were in full force.This went on about 2 weeks and started feeling a little better.  Still not fully back.  I did discuss with doc, and she is looking at Adrenals now.  Blood tests done, but no results yet.  What do you think of the treatment, needed or not needed.  Any other tests I should have done?

Copied this from Thyroid UK for you. Hope it helps you to understand your results a little better.

THE BLOOD TESTS (Thyroid Function Test)

The blood test for thyroid problems is called a Thyroid Function Test. The most usual tests are:

TSH; TT4 AND FT4
There is a range, which is used for the tests. These vary sometimes which is why you must always ask what the range is, so that you can see where you are in the range.

TSH = THYROID STIMULATING HORMONE
This hormone comes from the pituitary to stimulate the thyroid gland into making more hormone. TSH rises when the thyroid is struggling.
The approx. reference range for this test is 0.4 to 4.5.

TT4 = TOTAL T4
Thyroid hormones bound to proteins. TT4 lowers when the thyroid is struggling.
The approx. reference range for this test is 50 to 160.

FT4 = FREE T4
Thyroid hormones not bound to proteins. FT4 lowers when the thyroid is struggling.
The approx. reference range for this test is 10 to 24

FT3 = FREE T3
T4 converts to T3 and is the only thyroid hormone actually used by the bodys cells.
The approx. reference range for Free T3 is 4 to 8.3

We at Thyroid UK believe that you need to know your Free T3 level too because this will often show low if you are not converting, and high if you have blocked receptor cells. Even if you are converting, the body needs the extra T3 that a normal thyroid produces.

You are the best judge of the treatment Amour.   But to me looks like its not working.  However Amour and or t3 supplement has the roller coaster effect, because pig thyroid has a much higher ratio of t4 to t3 than what humans need and you will be getting the ratio when you pop the pill in your mouth when your system may or may not need it. Whereas our natural system turns t4 into t3 when our body actually needs it and to the amount we actually need.
