Sorry, but I bumped this incase anyone else had any opinions on anything.....Bryan, Stella, Cheryl.............what does it mean near thyroidectomyWhat about the increase. Do you think it will be adequate??
Thanks.
Keep us posted on how you do with the increased dose and make sure to follow up with blood work.
You will feel better, once you get to a lower TSH.
Best wishes.
Glad to hear you are doing better. I sure hope things will start to improve for both of us soon. I'm so tired all the time and feel like I'm walking around in a fog so I hope this will diminish as well???!!!!!
I am doing better than I have been for the last 2 weeks. The clogged ear due to my cold is finally going away- slowly, so the dizziness is also improving. I still have the residual dizziness from my TSH being too high at 2.89.
I have just finished my 2nd week of the increased Levoxyl dose. I am pretty sure I will need another increase, though.
Thanks for asking about me, Skeeter.
I am sorry your dizzies have been bad as well. Hopefully, that will resolve with a lower TSH.
No, Michele I never had my B-12 levels tested but I just have no energy and she said it wouldn't hurt anything so we are going to do that once a month. I still can't believe that the "stupid endo" didn't even do the T3 or T4. Said they weren't important??
Jules, I had mono really, really, really bad when I was 17 so I assume that once you have mono you test postive with Epstein-Barr. It sure feels active right now but I had mine tested years ago and my titers were really high!!
What is your take on leaving a remnant of the thyroid in there for the parathyroid? On my report it says a near thyroidectomy. I thought they took it al....UGH@@ I'm sick of this!!
How you doing Michele? Dizziness. Mine has been real bad. Where is your TSH at right now??
Hmmm...I tested positive for EBV (high range) and my GP doesn't think this warrants further consideration. I was also in the low-normal range for B12 and B1, and on the bloodwork it actually states that if a patient is in a certain low-normal range (which I am in), this should not be taken lightly. She didn't think this was worrisome, either. She does, however, think that my thyroid needs to be looked at more closely...which is surprisingly, since I had a "stupid endo", too.
I'm glad to hear your GP is working out well, though. It gives the rest of us hope!
Yeah- Skeeter!
I am sure the dose increase will help. You may still need another increase beyond that to get below 2.
B12 shots sound like a good idea. Did you ever have your level tested? (I can't remember)
Most of my other symptoms are subsiding I think, but the swelling neck is creaping back in. This new issue is a little scary though and I guess I will do some more digging on what that could be. I don't even know if it is related. I am a diet DP girl myself so I guess I will drink nothing but water for the next couple of days and see. That leg is tingly feeling when I bend it now. Maybe that is the circulation? I guess I'll go lay down for a bit. So glad your GP will help you!!!! :)
Thank you, I just hope something pans out here!!! I read your post...I don't know. My legs hurt so bad all the time. I do drink a lot of diet pop...maybe need to lay off that and see if that helps me any. My legs and ankles are swollen most of the time. Hope you are feeling good. Is the Armour working for you??
Good for you Skeeter!!!! Have a good rest of the weekend!
