Special diet for hypothyroidism

I've recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and am taking Synthroid  .05.  It's been over 4 months now.  I came on this site because this morning I didn't take my pill because I had an early MIBI nuclear test at the hospital which lasted till noon. But after reading the comments I will not worry about it and take tomorrow morning.  However I was wondering if there is a special diet or food that should not be taken.  I will not see my Dr till October and am worried that I might be eating stuff I shouldn't.  Thank you.  Really appreciate this site. Great info.

I am curious about how you are doing since starting on 50 mcg of T4 med.  Do you have any symptoms now?  What are your Free T4 and Free T3 levels, along with reference ranges?
