Swollen thyroid gland

Hello, I am hoping someone can help. Over the past several months I have found out I have a high wbc ( in August it was 14,000, now it is 20,000). I had no other symptoms and otherwise healthy. I do smoke and drink. I have had a bone marrow biopsy that was good and a chest x-ray that was fine also. Hemo/Oncologist Dr. said stress could cause high wbc and to calm down and take a break.  Well, now I have had tremors in my right arm and hand. For over 2 weeks pretty ugly headaches, sometimes a sharp pain. So yesterday I went back to a General Dr. and he has now found lump in front right side of my neck. I am now waiting to go have a ultrasound done. Could I have a thyroid problem, brain tumor, or thyroid cancer or what? I am so scared. I am a male 41 years of age. Please if someone has any info I would so appreciate it. Thanks ahead of time.

I actually have the exact same problem. I have been suffering from fatigue and chronic migraines for about 6 months, and today at the doctor he discovered a lump in my throat. He is sending me to get an ultrasound to see if I have an inflamed thyroid gland, which just means that it is producing too much of the hormone thyroxine. I am also very scared. I would like to know the outcome of your diagnosis, so any thing you can say is well appreciated.
