I meant to say "body temperature" not body temperate... duhh..
I'm not worried about TSH, but it didn't spike - it plummeted. What are her actual thyroid hormone levels - Free T3 and Free T4? TSH is counter intuitive. When TSH drops very low, thyroid hormones are usually quite high and when TSH rises, thyroid hormones are, typically, quite low.
Since your wife's TSH is very low, we'd expect her thyroid hormones to be quite high and that's what will be causing her symptoms of low appetite and diarrhea, as well as memory and concentration issues. It can also be affecting the calcium.
Free T3 and Free T4 are 2 of the most important hormones in the entire body, because they control so many of the body's functions, such as heart rate, body temperate, metabolism and many others. If those have not been tested, make sure she gets them tested asap.
her tsh was .02 I am still trying to get the calcium. It is really weird that her TSH would all of a sudden spike after being flat for many years.
I'm sorry I don't have the exact numbers. I will see if I can get them. As for the calcium she has only ever taken a mutivitamin. I don't think calcium sup was ever explained to her back then. From what I have researched low calcium can cause memory and focus impairments and also the other symptoms I have noted above. Thank you for the respons I will see what I can get for info.
What are the exact levels of her thyroid hormones? High thyroid hormone levels will cause the no appetite, diarrhea and other symptoms. Please post her levels and be sure to include the reference ranges as ranges vary from lab to lab and have to come from her own report.
Is she supplementing calcium?
