Thyroglossal Duct Cyst - consultation prep

I am a 39 year old female.
I am having a consultation with a surgeon on Wednesday, June 3 to discuss my ultrasound which shows a lesion likely to be a thyroglossal duct cyst.
I had the u/s because I noticed a lump in the front of my neck a few weeks ago, and noticed I am sometimes sounding hoarse, and encounter mild throat irritation.

I am curious to learn if anyone has any advise for questions to prepare for my consultation.

I understand the surgeon I am going to see to be an excellent communicator who welcomes questions and discussion of options. I am a person who like to learn as much as I can and take an active approach to my healthcare decisions.

I would love to hear any advice or stories from others who have undergone treatment for TDC.

Hi I'm wondering did the coughing and throats clearing resolve itself?  I'm in similar position. Have difficulty swallowing and breathing and pressure in throat. Thanks
