I bit my tongue, have horrible rash that looks like my blood vessels burst all over my face, neck and chest, and have had horrilbe muscle pain all though my back, like I had been straining it, but I haven't! I have had these uncontrolable shaking before. Don't have Epilepcy, or MS!
Could it by thyroid related.
I too would wake up shaking. It was to the point they ordered an MRI to rule out MS but of course it was negative. Guess I can chalk it up to thyroid!
I had one morning where I woke up shaking. I also had shaking at night, generally an hour or so after eating. I have Hashi's.
I started taking Synthroid about a month ago. I have not had any shaking incidents since then (knock wood that it stays away). It was very disconcerting when it happened, scary.
Hi,
yes, I've woken up shaking, with sometimes muscle spasms and have had panic attacks.
I just tell myslef to calm down and this is just part of having thyroid issues.
It does get better and I have good days...:)
Deb is right - but I really must lean on this being more related to a cortisol issue and your adrenals.
I know tests can come back and say it is normal - but function tests like saliva testing for these issues are much better than a blood draw.
Also a magnesium imbalance can happen too.
What is your Free T4 and Free T3?
And if your TSH is very high, then the antibodies are attacking the thyroid.
I would be questioning as to why your TSH is so high and work with your Doctor to get it down.
Its really hard to say the cause of the high TSH when there are no FT3 and FT4 levels posted.
I'm not sure but I have hashimotos and I wake up shaking sometimes almost like I had a siezure and sometimes as if I'm having severe muscle spasms........but my thyroid levels are normal although my TSH is 10x what it should be and my antithyroid antibodies is 1085 when normal is 35 or less..........
Yes it can.
I too have woken up shaking.
Go for a thyroid function test and ask for your Free T3, Free T4 and TSH to be tested along with the antibodies tests for Graves Disease and Hashi's.
Hope that helps :)
