OMG, no wonder your B-12 was sky high!
Good luck. Keep me posted.
If you're deficient in B-12, then it would give you more energy. Low B-12 can cause debilitating fatigue. However, giving you B-12 injections on top of your already high B-12 is a little like bringing coal to Newcastle. Lipotropic injections help your body to burn fat.
My question would be: What happens when you stop the phentermine, T3, lipotropic injections, testosterone? Are you dieting and exercising at the same time?
I think you're very wise in wanting to run this by your doctor before getting too far into it.
Good question regarding the B12. They said it would give me more energy. Combined it with lipotropic injection. Whatever that is. I did loss 12 lbs in two weeks.
Okay, if it says 1 gr, then it's probably a desiccated porcine thyroid.
So, why the B-12 shots if your B-12 is more than twice the upper limit of the range?
Hi, The Thyroid container says 1gr
.
I'm in very good health just 30 lbs over weight. Cholesterol 222
Vitamin B12 >2000H normal range 243-894
Is it 1 gram (g or gm) or 1 grain (gr)? Desiccated porcine thyroid (like Armour, NatureThroid, etc.), which contains both T3 and T4, is measured in grains or milligrams. I'm not familiar with any thyroid meds measured in grams. If it's grams, I'd assume it's not all actual thyroid hormones, but some form of thyroid support supplement. It might be a good idea to ask them for an ingredient list before talking to your doctor about it. Pentermine is kind of scary, too, especially in combination with testosterone and T3. That's a combination that I think would be kind of tricky to control/balance.
You're not fatigued or sleepy despite getting plenty of sleep, intolerant to cold, have lowered BP or HR, high cholesterol, depressed, losing hair, constipated, etc? Are you in generally good health?
What was your B-12 level?
Really appreciate your help. The Thyroid pill is 1 gm once a day - doesn't say what it is made of just from the Wellness clinic.
The Testosterone - 2% (20Mg/Ml) Cream.
I will go to my doctor and see if they okay this treatment. I was having trouble losing weight and gaining which is why I went to this weight loss clinic. They also give me Phentermine 37.5mg and Vit B 12 plus Lipolean shots. Thanks for your help
First, let me just say that they should have tested FREE T4 instead of total T4. Like the FREE T3 they did test, FREE T4 tells the available amount in your blood.
That being said, your TT4 is 40% of range, which is a little bit low of the 50% target. FT3 is at 32% of range, which is short of the 50+% guideline. TSH is just about perfect, and TPOab is negative for Hashi's. So, both FT3 and TT4 are a little on the low side.
Do you have other hypo symptoms besides inability to lose weight?
Does the "thyroid" pill have any indication of manufacturer, either on the bottle or the pill itself? The testosterone scares me a bit. 1 gr is also a higher starting dose than you might want if you do decide to try it. Especially as we get older (I'm not far behind you!), it's often best to start out low and increase as tolerated.
T3,Free 2.7 normal range 1.8-4.6 pg/ml
T4, Total 8.7 normal range 5.1-14.1 ug/dl
TSH 0.918 normal range 0.27- 4.2 uIU/ml
Thyroid Peroxidase Abs 5.5 normal range <35 IU/ml
The Denver Weight Loss Clinic gave me pills that just say Thyroid 1gm
I am a 70 yr old woman they said my Thyroid was not working properly and my Testosterone,Total was low 5L Normal Range 6-82 ng/dl so made a gel for me to use. $350 for total. Hope this helps. Thanks so much. I'll be going back to my doctor to see if what I am doing is okay.
Did they give you the reference ranges for your FT3, TT4 and TPOab? Ranges vary lab to lab, so they have to come from your own lab report.
Do you know the name of the pill they gave you? Was this prescribed by a doctor?
