Thyroid and Alergies

My Wife had her Thyroid removed about 10 years ago, she has been on Levothyroxine and seems to be very stable. However she has developed alergies that seem to be getting worse. She can't touch, chocloate, cheese, sugar, alcohol. She also seems to be getting worse in the summer with Pollen etc. Is this a common side effect of Thyroid removal and can she do any thing other than avoid these. She is on daily anti alergy tablets.

Mine have gotten much worse in recent years, but I'm not sure if it's related.

I just went allergy testing. MIne have gotten worse, especially summer/ fall. I have hashimotos. I would have test done like Laura said. Maybe ask doctor what you can do to help avoid them.

I just started acupuncture and NAET for my food allergies....so far so good!  I don't think the allergies would pertain to thyroid removal....maybe someone else here has experienced that. I do know that my allergies became more frequent since I have had Hashimotos autoimmune disease. Did your wife test for thyroid autoimmune diseases?
What was the reason for the thyroid removal....cancer?
