Untreated hyper/graves can raise liver enzymes. My liver enzymes were flagged when I was admitted to the hospital in a mild thyrod storm. Mine were in the 100's but came back down to normal after a few weeks on the ATD.
Hi, Just been diagnosed hyperthyroid yesterday. Also have slight raised liver enzymes. Doctor a complete prat so researching myself. Have previously had great success with other issues from acupuncture so looked to see what chinese docs thought. They think that liver inneficiency can cause thyroid issues--both types. My level is 38 what that means I dont know as gp was in hurry!!! Refused to take 30mg of Carbinamazole with dodgy liver and long history of adverse drug reactions. Taking 10 to start and might increase if no side effects. Going to look at alternative meds though so all info appreciated.
Curious...What are the reasons you are asking about the liver? I'm hyper/Graves. Anti-thyroid meds can affect liver over time if taken too long.
Thanks for the comment I will also research but if you find out anything it would help alot...Also do you know of anyone who has heard of or used Thyroid Assist from native remedies?
You know, that is a great question. I am sorry I don't have any answers for you. Hopefully, someone else can.
I will do some research on it and see what I find out. however, those of us with thyroid problems have memory problems, so hopefully, I can remember what I learn.... :-)
Hope your relative has a great knowledgeable MD>
