Thyroid and Synthroid

I had a total thyroidectomy and I am on Synthroid 137. I work full time days as a paralegal and I am a personal trainer in the evenings and I am burning the candle at both ends.  My question is: In a person with a normal functioning thyroid, does the body over compensate when a person is over worked, and produce a little more thyroid hormone?  If so, the level that I am on is a constant steady level that never increases, and that would explain why somedays I feel fine and other days I feel like I have no energy.

Well...Overall, how do you feel????  Most people including myself have more energy in the morn and less in the evening..I am on 88mcg after a TT and my doc doesn't want to increase because my levels are so called normal although I feel the need to take a nap during the day and I can because I'm not working just yet...but I'm praying that i'm able to work through the day without the exhausting feeling...

A person with a normal functioning thyroid shouldn't have issues of exhaustion all the time and once at rest, that feeling will go away. No matter what i do, when i'm feeling exhausted, i have to sit down and relax.

If you have the energy to do those things and do not feel as if you are gonna crash, then that's great....taking vitamins are also a plus.

What are you current levels? Make sure they test Free T3 and Free T4 too.
I do not convert T4 to T3 and had to add Cytomel to my Synthroid.
