Thyroid cyst?

I found a painful lump on my throat, doctor did blood work for thyroid came back fine. Did an ultrasound and was told its probably a cyst on my thyroid and to take antibiotics. Is this normal or should I go to a endocrinologist? I feel as if something more is going on. I have ear pain, hurts to sneeze, cough, yawn and when I press on it. I also feel like I have a lump in my throat. Any suggestions? Thanks"

I have now been referred to a general surgeon.  Pain has went away with taking the antibiotics, but still have the feeling of a lump in my throat.
