Thyroid levels up

Hi I had quite a bad flu a couple weeks ago which left me feeling quite shaken . I had all flu symptoms very bad sore and dry throat. The doctor sent me for a blood test to check my thyroid which I have had tested in the past and its always been on the borderline . This time the test showed and increase and she said the virus could have caused this . Ive been feeling quite tired and I get hot and this triggers a panic attack or anxiety of some sort .I feel weird She said I need to have another blood test in 4to 6 weeks but can a flu cause the thyroid to do this
Thanks

Hi Annie

I had quite a few 'episodes' of sore throats that I was told were 'viral' before being diagnosed with Graves Disease and Hyperthyroidism last year.
Sore throats can trigger off the antibodies that attack the thyroid...sorry to say :(
Just keep an eye on the sore throat as it can make you Hyper and inflammation can cause Thyroiditis.
