If the doctor ran the Graves test where is it then in the above post? - I don't see it ran./
Try slowly backing off the beta blocker, it is not good to stop all at once. it seems so weird reading your posting, i thought I was reading my own! i did get my results from the endo on the TSI for graves and mine was 600+. but my last visit early Sept, all counts were normal, after stopping the MMI in August. i was only on it since june. i still have problems with sleep, and i still have occasional hot flashes, anxiety attacks, and palpitations (then i take a beta). dr said it is normal to have fluctuations, since the body is still trying to regulate itself.
Thanks Stella for replying..I am not feeling well and very discouraged.
I sent for my labs today and they will be mailed. I also asked for the Radiologist's report. When the doctor called last night he told me he did antibody testing for Graves and Hashi's and they were normal, but didn't tell me the values... I went off the Beta Blocker today like he told me to and felt hyper, hot- but my pulse seemed fine at work, although I noticed I was very short of breath after climbing stairs. I only slept 4 hours last night because I wasn't tired.
But now it has been 36 hours since I have taken the metotropol and I feel awful! When I got home from work, my pulse rate was around 96 resting , my blood pressure was a little elevated and my chest feels a little tight...I am going to try and stick it out but now I am wondering if I should have gone off the meds!
no not really - but in your symptoms and the determination of the radiologist I feel your doctor needs to run the TSI Graves testing to see if those antibodies are present.
You've only posted Hashimoto abs which correlates to hypothyroidism antibodies but everything points to Graves more than Hashi's
