My Doctor wants me to take 200mg and then 150mg thyroxine alternative days
Whats the advantage of alternative dosage?

Yes you can get 50 mcg (.05 mg) in all the major brands, as shown in this link.

The two med. dose would equal out to a daily dosage of 178.57 and there is not a single pill for that dosage.
The dosage is not too high if level relates to you needing it. Evidently doctor thinks its not too high for you.
