Please help one last time, to point me in the right direction.
I have hahsimotos thyroiditis, with nodules. It started as hypothyroidism after the birth of my daughter 20 years ago.
I have written before.
I am a 50 year old female, had a full hysterecomy in late 30's, and a kidney removed in early 40's.
I am reposting the last full labs here, but I will be having additional labs and another US to check the nodules in the next few days.
I had an immediate and severe reaction to the adrenal insufficiency stim test. They said I was 18 going in, and registered a 39 an hour after the injection and was in normal range. However, I have been sicker then I have been in a long while, ever since. No one seems to think its related.

I am currently on 112 mcg Synthroid 6 x weekly. Would I benefit from separate t3 & t4 meds? I am getting mixed info on the pro and cons of Armour vs. Synthroid, and no one is talking about Tironsit or Cytomel. I also wonder would I be easier to balance having the gland removed altogether? I have not had the rai scan, but have had a biopsy. In the past, I have had a severe reaction to contrast iv iodine, (Heat, heart racing and pain) and am reluctant to attempt the 24 hour iodine load urine test.
I am tired, and sick, frequently in a low immune state. Please help.
Thanks to all of you for sharing your info and responses.
Here are the numbers:

I am going to get the rest of the labs now. @ Danie Best of luck with your appt in May. I will be checking back and wishing the best for everyone out there, suffering and battling with this condition.
What are your current thyroid hormone levels? That would be, at a minimum - Free T3, Free T4 and TSH.......
Dosage depends on the person; what's right for me, might not be right for you, but there are some "guidelines" that might help, if we know your current levels (including the lab's reference ranges, since these vary lab to lab).
A high T4 (is that Free T4 or total - does make a difference) and low T3 (again, is that Free or Total - makes a difference), might suggest a conversion issue...... T4 is not immediately usable by the body; therefore, it must be converted to the active T3 hormone, which readily absorbed into the cells... FREE T4 indicates the amount of T4 that available for conversion; FREE T3 indicates the amount that available for immediate use by the cells.
Please post current labs, along with reference ranges.......
Only you can weigh the pros & cons on having it removed. Some people claim they have never felt better once the dosage was correct, others say they still feel horrible.
For me personally, I did not have any issues after the TT (16yrs ago).
I too have have hashimot's, although the docs say I have hashimoto's toxicosis. I was half way okay for a few years on meds (I could function), but 9 months ago I went hyper. I haven't really came out of the hyper state since then. I had an uptake that showed I was hyper even though my tsh, does not always show it. I had to decide on radiation or surgery and I finally decided to just get it removed. I meet with the surgeon for a consultation in may. It's a hard decision, and I hope it leads me to better health than I have now. I have no quality of life at this point now. I know a lot of people that have had their thyroids out and still have problems, but from what I have heard most people feel considerably better than what we are going through now. I hope you feel better and find out what is right for you.
