Trying to help a friend, please help !

"My body makes antibodies that trigger the thyroid hormone. My immune system attacks my body. The gliadin protein in gluten is molecularly similar to the molecule the antibodies attack. So they attack me when I eat gluten." I'm trying to help a friend any advice on her problem? She also takes synthetic thyroid hormone. She has to for metabolism.

We'd need a lot more information to comment on your friend's condition.

Has she been diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis?  Has she been diagnosed with celiac disease (autoimmune gluten intolerance).

What exactly does she take for thyroid meds?

Does she have hypo or hyper symptoms?

Do you have recent thyroid labs to post?  Please include reference ranges.
