Thyroid Problems, again!

Post opt from TT almost a year and have changed dosage recently and brand.  After three days of not taking meds, I hard the low voice and stiff all over.  I am now back on 112 levoxyl and my face is broke out and my knee caps are killing me.  Should I have my calcium checked and also should I fast for my bloodwork?

The pharmacy was out of the meds! I will try some magnesium.  Thanks! I am just tired of aches and pains and up and down levels.  But I am thankful my thyroid is gone and it is much better.

If you don't mind my asking, why did you go off your med?  It would take some time for the med to leave your system, but I know I would probably be miserable if I didn't take my med for 3 days!

I'm not sure if just calcium will help you much; you need to get your thyroid levels back where they need to be.  It might help to add some magnesium, which helps with the aches and pains.

I don't know that fasting for thyroid blood work is necessary; however, I've always been told NOT to take my thyroid med before having thyroid labs done.
