Went to see new Dr!!

So.. I had my appt with my new Endo today. After seeing my old Endo for 4 plus years.. we parted ways do to him not taking my new insurance. I am on Armour and was nervous about the new Dr not treating.. Well.. she does and will! She made no big deal about the Armour at all. She even said that her professors would not agree with her treating patients with Armour, but she said everyone is different. She is young.. I think maybe 38. I asked her point blank her thoughts on Armour and her response was this.. "I am up for anything.. If Armour makes you feel good rather the Synthetics, then I am game." I said ok then! She also said that if I wanted to go to Synthroid and Cytomel, she would do that too. She was very openminded and listened to me. She gave me her email and personal voicemail if I should become symptomatic. My ferritin levels are very low and she said I am feeling this way because of that. I have been achey, headaches, lightheaded, anxious ect.. My thyroid levels looked very good and she seemed to be very educated on the Armour. When She asked what meds I was on.. I said Armour and she asked how I felt on it.. She didnt look at the labs and judge from there, she asked me about my symptoms and how I was feeling.. I am so happy so far. I know things can change, but so far so good!! She spent an hour with me.. So.. I hope this works out!

Hi there. Long time no hear.  I was also given iron infusions for the low ferritin that I have.  Urr, isn't it frustrating having another symptom?

I just posted on my update, not very encouraging on my end; I feel horrible now a days.

Hey MK

Good new on the new doc.

I think the younger ones are being educated more on meds like Armour again - then the ones learned decades ago. Complementary med is getting more popular - so maybe the turn around is starting.  Armour was always used many years ago but fell into NP and Comp med since the late 70's

ARGH!!!!! Low Ferritin.......... we talked about that. And it is bad for us.

Just think of all the experience you are getting when someone else is needing information.
