YAHOO!!! I AM SO SO HAPPY!!!!!!!

I went to my follow up visit this morning at my Endo. I am so so happy. He told me my levels were NORMAL!!!! He asked me if I wanted to do RAI this coming up week, but I opted to just wait until fall, so my summer wouldn't be messed up. We will probably do RAI this August sometime since that will be my next follow up visit but he is going to spot check me until then to make sure I am not having any reactions to these meds. But, then again, I kinda regret telling him to wait till Fall, but I guess if I decide before then, I can just tell him. But he said that waiting through the summer would be a good idea too though. He is such a wonderful doctor!I am so happy today!! This forum has been a lot of support for me, I am so happy to have found this forum!

Glad to hear you got some good news!  In my case, even though my thyca nodule was only 8 mm, and RAI was optional, I choose to go ahead with it just 6 wks after TT.  That's  mostly because I'm an impatient person and wanted to know that I had done everything possible to inhibit the cancer from recurring.  RAI sounds scary, but the hardest part was waiting for your TSH to get high enough and the LID.  I'm really glad now because my endo wants my TSH to be below .1 so she slowly increased my meds to the point that my blood pressure and heart rate are way up and I'm having insomnia.  Next week when I go to my endo, I will ask her if it's possible to reduce my meds again.  With having gone through RAI already, I'm hoping I can get by with a lower dose of levothyroxine.

Any, congrats on the good news again.  One thing I've learned on this roller coaster ride of thyca is enjoy the good news when you get it!!

Thanks for all of your support. It was just so nice to hear my endo say the words normal! It is nice to know that RAI and recovery are right around the corner. I feel like I am now hopefully in the home stretch! I feel so much better than I did when I was first diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I have not been in this good of a mood since then. I feel so much better and this forum has helped me a lot!
