ankle pain with hashimoto

Please respond,,,,,,,,my wife has suvered with severe ankle pain for 3 years now. After many dr's and specalists, no results yet.. but we were watching medical show on tv, lady had same symptoms and it was hashimoto thyroiditis .
about the same time she started hurting, her family dr. and ran tests and took her off of her snythriod medicine.  normally she was Always on 1.25.  She has very dry skin, dry hair, and is now seeing facial hair(which she never had.

Not sure when your wife might have been tested for thyroid.  With her history of Hashi's and some of the symptoms you mentioned, it sounds like that would be a good idea to start.  The most important test would be free T3 and then free T4 as well as TSH.  If you would post the actual test results, along with the ranges, I'm sure you will get lots of good responses from the very experienced members here.

FORGOT THE MEMTION!!!!!!
this is from the following post,  My wife was diagnosed with Hashimoto thyrioditis in 1992, and had part of her thyroid removed, Some of the tests now don't come back accurate for some reason,  we truly believe there is something wrong here, and the ankle pain is very related,   Please help
