Glad the Zantac is working for you! Hopefully it will continue. If it quits working then switch off of the H2 Antagonist drugs (zantac, pepcid etc) and go to the PPI (omeprazole etc) as they are much stronger and instead of reducing stomach acid they turn it off altogether.
I have Hashi's which was finally diagnosed after I lost 60 lbs after I had y baby (only had put on 20!) I finally started going hypo and that's when I told them to check antibodies (my whole story is posted here:
I am now on OTC Zantac for other symptoms of GERD and cmclien you are eactly right! The nausea and the growling went away!!
Nothing else has been diagnosed except a low Vitamin D. I am waiting for my endo to decide what to put me on (I already take 1000qd)
Thanks to you all!
ya that sound about right.i had most of those feeling's at the start.i'm 2 years into this roller coaster and still not over off med's 19 week's still have up's and down's...
Totally sounds like GERD to me, are you taking a ppi? omeprazole (prilosec) or the like? If its that the nausea and loud stomach growing will go away if you take those. As far as the leg cramps at night I seem to get that alot if I'm not getting enough vit D which luckily is now in my calcium.
Before I started taking omeprazole I swear I was nauseas on a daily basis. Not to the point of throwing up but just thinking hey I'm nauseas. In the morning before I take my medicine I still get the gnawing loud stomach sounds but once I take that it goes away. You could always try otc for a week and see if it helps.
Not sure what other meds you are on so you might want to ask your doc first.
What condition(s) have you been diagnosed with?
