are these symptoms connected to TGD cyst?

Hello everyone, I Was just diagnosed with Thyroglossal duct cyst.  Mine measured 9x6x5mm,  I know this is about 1/2 inch.  Im wondering why it feels like I cant breathe.  I now can no longer eat anything, without choking, and having to swallow way too much, plus gagging when I have tried to swallow something bigger than a noodle. I am now down to drinking chicken broth, and boost .  Ive tried noodles, but I have to keep swallowing to get them down, and then cough like no other.  Is it the cyst that is causing me to not breathe or eat?  I also notice, Im tired, and achy.  Also my face, back, and arms have started breaking out, and Im wondering if its linked to this duct cyst?  I go to the ENT wednesday, and am praying that he gets me in for surgery very quickly.  This has devastated my whole family.  My daughter is having to take care of me, and then on top of everything I pulled a muscle in my hip area, after coughing, and clearing my throat because of this cyst.  I am on liquid pain meds, which the pulled muscle is improving.  Sincerely, smilesok

Ok just had surgery.. it wasnt so good.. had extreme nausea and migraine afterwards, but they got me on meds for that.  My tongue hurts, bk of neck, and where the cut out the cyst.  I was wonderful if they suture it or cauterize it?  Now im coughing and clearing my throat again, because of the surgery and not the cyst.. a bit ironic huh?  lol.  Sincerely, okiegal

update.. went to ENT,  he said yes I have a cyst, but not thyroglossal duct cyst, he cant tell by looking at it through his light, tube thingy what type cyst it is, or what its filled with, and wants to remove it and biopsy it immediately.  Then said the reason Ive been coughing, and clearing my throat, is because I have tell tale signs of reflux..  hes wrong, Ive never had any problems eating, or drinking anything.  I have never smoked, or nor do I drink alcohol, or ever did more than a glass of wine about 5 times a year, for a special occassion or holiday.  They did a barium, and EGD< that showed I dont have any reflux identifiers.  He said my vocal cords are inflamed, and it looks like classic case of reflux. I definetely wasnt going to argue with him.  He was a great doctor.  They said there is a 24 hour probe test they can do to see specifically if it is.  I think the whole reason, all these other symptons are upon me if from this 4 mm cyst.  I do have tonsil stones, but doctor said I could have them out, but its excruciatingly painful...  Anyone have any advice, or input?  I will have the surgery in the next week or so..  hopefully that will settle my symptoms.  Is it possible for a cyst that small to cause me swallowing problems,  and throat coughing and clearing?  Thank you..  sincerely, okiegal
