You might need to have your adrenals checked.  Get full panel blood test including metabolic panel, B12, Vit D, DHEA and cortisol.  Adrenal fatigue is as bad as low thyroid and should be addressed as well.

Thanks.  I'm currntly taking 200mcg of levo and still have many hypo symptoms (feeling half dead being the number one one) yet my tsh is "fine".  The last time I had a t3 test it was below where it should be but my doc did nothing (I looked back in my chart in november).  I went to an endo years ago, when I was taking 175mcg,, and at that time, she said that that was too much even given an ok TSH.  I never went back because I got preg and then lost my referal to her after that.  I suspect she was going somewhere with her comment but...  On a gut level, I suspect I don't covert all that well.  As well I have major ferritin issues to boot.

I gotta get rid of these symptoms.  Its been really bad this past year and a boost in dose has done very little to make me feel better.  Taking two hour naps every day is cutting into my quality of life.

I am not sure if not liking it is an issue. T3 T4 Armour was used decades ago with the medical field. There was no synthecis available. Drug companies invented the man made thyroid drug Synthyroid and doctors wer educated the T4 was best to use in Hypo cases. In fact, in most cases, doctors do not even inform a patient that other Thyroid drugs are available. One has to really dig to find this info out. I have had success switching to Armour Thyr. Synthyroid was not working for me and it has been spectulated that the Red Dye used in the tablet made me sick. It is the same dye in Kool Aid  which looking back now I had trouble as a child. Simply: there ARE different meds out there. If you do not have success with one (I gave Synthyroid a try for 4 years) read up on others. Don't think though the answer will come overnight. Switching meds can really put you back in trouble until you regulate again.

Armour is a natural thyroid replacement derived from pig thyroid.  Doctors (except naturopaths) do not like to prescribe it because they think it is inconsistent.  It contains T1, T2, T3 and T4.  Unless you have a problem converting T4 to T3, they would rather have you on the synthetic because it is consistent, although the generics, they say, have differences in the fillers they use and can be inconsistent, also.   I have been on both and am now on the real Synthroid and have not had a problem, yet.  I went way hyper on the Armour and had to quit until I was hypo again, and then started on the real synthroid. I am waiting for the latest results and  hoping to up my dose.
